Build your appointment brief
Choose the answers you know, or select not sure. Works-value bands organise the brief; they do not calculate a fee or decide a legal requirement.
Your choices are processed in this browser. They are not saved by this tool, sent to HCS or included in its enquiry links.
What the result means
The checker identifies a role to discuss and a short list of information to collect. It does not examine a contract, determine statutory duties or confirm anyone’s appointment.
HCS cannot act as independent contract administrator where HCS is the contractor. Confirm the proposed role and the individual’s experience with the selected form before agreeing professional terms.
For occupied leasehold works, read the Section 20 and major works service. A request for regular workmanship inspections may need a separately scoped Clerk of Works appointment.
