A specialist building consultancy for technically demanding instructions
Hampstead Chartered Surveyors & Building Consultancy advises building owners, managing agents, developers, investors, landlords and public sector clients on building surveying, architectural design, fire safety, external wall risk and project delivery matters.
The practice takes on instructions where technical clarity, regulatory understanding and commercially aware advice matter. Our work ranges from condition assessment and defect diagnosis to cladding remediation support, Building Safety Act compliance, contract administration and development monitoring.
We operate as an independent consultancy from offices in London and Manchester, focused on clear reporting, proportionate advice and practical delivery support across residential, commercial, mixed-use and specialist property assets.
The practice has grown quickly, expanding from its North London base to a second office at 3 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, Manchester M3 3EB in 2026. It works with some of the best chartered surveying talent in London and Manchester, holding every file to the same director-led, RICS-regulated standard.
One consultancy, five service groups
The practice is organised as five service groups — building surveying, fire safety and facade, project and leasehold advisory, statutory compliance and separately appointed works delivery. Each group is staffed by the disciplines that service line actually needs, from chartered building surveyors and fire risk assessors to contract administrators and principal designers, and every instruction is led by a director whichever group it enters through.

Meet our team, led by Savas Bulduk BSc (Hons) MRICS, Director & Chartered Building Surveyor
Professional standards are anchored to the firm’s MRICS chartered surveying leadership. However an instruction arrives, one of the directors leads the file and stays the client’s point of accountability from first advice through to the final report. Behind that lead sits the practice’s wider bench of chartered specialists, associate consultants and technical sub-consultants, engaged according to what each building — and each decision — actually requires.
The disciplines on that bench — chartered building surveyors, party wall surveyors, fire safety and facade specialists, fire risk assessors, project and contract professionals, principal designers, statutory compliance consultants and engaged engineering specialists — are described in detail, with the qualifications behind them, on our people page.

Regulated, insured, accountable

Two service pathways, separately contracted
The legal entity and public brand remain the same, but the professional and contractor roles use different scopes and responsibilities.
Professional surveying and building consultancy
HCS provides condition, defects, fire and facade, acquisition, leasehold, project and portfolio advice under written professional terms. Independent contract administration, employer's agent and clerk of works roles require a contractor independent of HCS.
Fit-out and light refurbishment works delivery
HCS may separately quote as contractor for a suitable, carefully scoped fit-out, light refurbishment or minor-works package. The works contract records scope, price basis, programme, responsibilities, exclusions and changes.
